Dear Residents,

As indicated previously, the park is moving forward in scheduling through the Army Corps of Engineers the debris removal from Tahitian Terrace as soon as the Corps are able.

However, we do not want to finalize any schedule for debris removal until all residents have been given the opportunity to visit the park and remove any personal belongings.   If you do plan to visit the park, please schedule a day and time to visit the park as soon as possible. If you wait until the clean-up has begun, the window of opportunity will more than likely be closed

We will notify everyone once the debris removal is scheduled.

Thank you,

Park Management

as of Jan. 31, 2025

Ownership and management had a very productive meeting with Councilwoman, Traci Park, and her team yesterday, January 30, 2025.

The overriding topic was the cleanup of the park and each space. She will be researching, using her city resources, the answers regarding what exactly the process should and would be pertaining to completion and submission of the Los Angeles County “Right of Entry” form, and if in fact every space has any obligations for the park to obtain the “free” debris removal offered by FEMA. In the meantime we are working expeditiously to get the debris removal scheduled. Obviously the clean-up is vital!

The city and park management plan to be in close communication next week as the city and we continue to gain insight.

Thank you for your patience.

Tahitian Terrace Management

For Tahitian Terrace residents:

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this truly incredible tragedy.

As of right now, our crew is not allowed access to the park so we cannot assess the total damage. However, we do have a full-time security guard at the entrance to the park. We also plan to fence off the entire park as soon as we can.

We encourage all residents to immediately tender a claim to your homeowner’s insurance carrier for your loss.

We also suggest all residents set up “mail-forwarding” for your mail with the USPS. We do not know how the post office will be handling all the mail but setting up mail-forwarding can assist with you getting your mail to a new address in the interim. If you do get a new mailing address, please notify park management of that new mailing address. If you do not provide a new address, the park will continue to send any notices to your current mailing address and will also use your email on file.

It is important that everyone updates their contact information with Park Management.

The park will continue to update this website as new information becomes available. Please do not hesitate to contact park management by phone or email with any questions you may have.
